Oats are great for toddlers and young kids being introduced to solid foods. They make an easy-to-swallow breakfast while leaving you space to experiment with different foods and tastes.

The fun part is that you don't have to serve just plain old oats with milk and water; adding fruits and other delicious stuff makes for an interesting journey of discovery for everyone!

An additional bonus I discovered was that whatever oats my little niece couldn't finish, I could eat it up! Just watch out for portions when feeding the little ones with oats.
