This one’s a quick and easy trick to add some extra crunch and flavour to your meals.

Fun fact: no oil or butter required, just oats, skillet and heat.

Get some plain oats (Quaker Oats Instant Cook or Quaker Oats Quickcook will do), measure about 3-4 tablespoons, throw them into a non-stick skillet and fry for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove oats from heat and set aside to cool. You can then add these toasted oats to biscuits and toppings, or in any recipe that would usually call for uncooked oats.
