Quaker Crunchy Prawn With Sweet Sour Sauce

With its crunchy golden exterior and steamy soft interior it's an appetizer that makes your taste buds crave for more.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of Quaker Oats Quickcook
  • 500g Prawn (Medium Size)
  • ½ cup corn flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • White pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tsp. fish sauce
  • Cooking Oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves shallot, finely chopped
  • 1 stalk of coriander leaves
  • 5 chili padi, sliced finely
  • 1 unripe mango, sliced finely
  • 1 carrot, sliced finely
  • 5 tsp. Chili Thai Sauce
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice

Garnishing

  • Tomatoes
  • Lettuce
  • Red Chilies
  • 1 cucumber

Directions:

  • Add Quaker Oat Quick Cook together with corn flour in 1 bowl. Stir thoroughly & put aside.
  • Marinate prawn with black pepper, salt & Fish sauce. Add egg & stir well.
  • Dip prawn into oat and corn flour mixture.
  • Heat cooking oil in saucepan. Deep-fry the prawns till cooked. Drain and set aside.
  • Add in the cooked prawns, mangoes sliced, cucumber, carrot, shallot, coriander leave & chili padi into dressing bowl.
  • Mix well Thai chili Sauce & Lemon squeeze. Pour into the dressing bowl. Serve immediately.
