Sweet & Spicy Chicken Oats
This sweet and spicy oatmeal-crusted chicken is easy to cook and tasty to enjoy.
Ingredients
- 500 g boneless chicken
- 1 cup Quaker Oats Quick Cook
- ½ cup corn flour
- Pinch of salt
- White pepper to taste
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tsp. fish sauce
- Cooking Oil
- Curry leaves
- 5 tsp. Chili Thai Sauce
- 1 tsp. lemon squeeze
Garnishing
- 2 cloves shallot, finely chopped
- 1 stalk of coriander leave, finely chopped
- 5 chili padi, sliced finely
- 1 carrot, sliced finely
- ½ orange; thinly sliced
- 1 tsp. sesame seeds
Directions:
- Add Quaker Oat Quick Cook together with corn flour in 1 bowl. Stir thoroughly & put aside.
- Cut chicken by lengthwise inside measure ½ cm. Marinate chicken with black pepper, pinch of salt & Fish sauce. Add egg & stir well.
- Dip chicken into oat / corn flour mixture.
- Heat cooking oil in saucepan. Deep-fry the chicken with curry leaves till cooked. Drain and set aside.
- Add in the cooked chicken, carrot, shallot, coriander leave, sesame seeds & chili padi into dressing bowl.
- Use the oranges to decorate the dish on the side.
- Mix well Thai chili Sauce & Lemon squeeze. Pour into the dressing bowl. Serve immediately.
